Electromedia® I is a unique filtration system integrating a special vessel design and a proprietary media.

Electromedia® I is formulated for the filtration of arsenic, iron, manganese, radium as well as other heavy metals without the use of greensand or potassium permanganate.

Electromedia® I is applied where high quality filtrate for process water is required.




OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS

  • Filter Rate: Up to 18 gpm per sq. ft.
  • Backwash Rate: 20 gpm per sq. ft.
  • Required Backwash Time: 4 minutes maximum.
  • Clean Filter Differential Pressure: 1 psi.
  • Terminal Differential Pressure: 10 psi.

 

Electromedia® I effectively and efficiently removes arsenic, iron, manganese and other heavy metals. Operating costs are as low as one penny per thousand gallons of water produced. Backwash to filtration ratios are less then 0.1%.

 

STANDARD EQUIPMENT

  • Flow range from 10 to 10,500 gpm or more.
  • 60 psi pressure tank ASME code, stamped.
  • Filter tanks are carbon steel, epoxy lines at all wetted surfaces.
  • Backwash flow controls, air release valves, and automatic filter control valves provided as standard.
  • Standard interior fittings: cast iron, PVC, and stainless steel.
  • Each tank fitted with 12" X16" manholes, 6" x 8" hand holes, or manways depending on filter size.

AUTOMATION

PLC based automatic filter controls include automatic reset timers for filtration, backwash and purge. Backwash is initiated by time or differential pressure override. Controls housed in a NEMA 12 enclosure.

WARRANTY

Filtronics warrants its filtration equipment to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of shipment. Any Filtronics filtration equipment found to be defective within such period will be repaired or replaced, upon return to the factory.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other expressed or implied warranties whatsoever including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
