Iron & Manganese in your water?

The presence of iron is probably the most common water problem faced by consumers and water treatment professionals. The secondary MCL for iron is 0.3 mg/l and manganese is 0.05 mg/l. Iron and manganese in excess of the suggested MCL usually results in discolored, metallic tasting water and stained plumbing fixtures.
